Heather is a board certified Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Physician, licensed massage therapist, certified personal trainer and nutritionist. Heather is passionate about healing the body as a whole and treating the root of the problem. Healing is about getting the mind and body balanced and in sync. With her experience and background she is able to truly help heal the mind and body together as one. She has treated thousands of patients with a wide variety of conditions and all ages ranging from 3 weeks to 94 years old.
Heather made a strong name and impression on the Alternative Medicine community in Nashville. She was referred patients by top neurologists, endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, dermatologists, oncologists and orthopedic surgeons from Vanderbilt University Hospital, St. Thomas West Hospital, Baptist hospital, Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, Nashville Fertility Center and the Center of Reproductive Health.

She also has a close relationship with all the birthing centers in Nashville and surrounding areas and sees women from conception through birth with fertility treatments, flipping breach babies and inducing labor naturally. She cares deeply for her patients and sees that they get 100% of her attention, knowledge and care. She hopes to spread the word and power of Alternative Medicine throughout her new home here in St. Petersburg.

“I have been interested in complimentary alternative medicine my entire life,” Heather declares. “I sought out Chinese medicine for the first time 17 years ago for chronic respiratory infections and found the strength of Chinese herbs over powered all of the western pharmaceuticals I had been treated with in the past.”

Her Chinese medical doctor also linked her respiratory infections to an emotional event that was occurring at that time. He treated the emotional state by treating her mind which then led to the healing of the internal pathology. At that moment it became clear that her passion in life was to heal people as a whole, mind, body, and spirit.Graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition from California State University Fullerton, she became a strength and conditioning coach, fitness instructor and nutritionist for 13 years for high school, college and professional athletes all over Southern California; teaching hundreds of boot camps and a variety of fitness classes throughout the years in Los Angeles, Hollywood and Orange County. Heather then proceeded to finish massage therapy school and opened several successful massage therapy practices in Newport Beach, Anaheim and Long Beach California.

During that period, Heather began graduate school at Southern California University of Health Science (SCUHS).  SCUHS is one of the highest ranking Chinese Medical Schools in the country with a rigorous 31/2 yr full time program and it stands the highest ranked school in that field in California, being ACAOM and WASC accredited. Heather graduated Valedictorian of her class and also received the highest of honors, the prestigious Chinese Herbology award, Shen Nong, which is given to one student each year which is presented to the one student that shows exceptional skills in Herbal Pharmacology, raw herbal formula prescription, and herbal pharmacy management.

Heather interned in Taipei, Taiwan studying under 20th generation Chinese internal medicine doctors specializing in cancer treatment and stroke patients. She then completed a 3-year internship program at the University Health Center of Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles interning under some of the top doctors in the world. During that time she was chosen to run the Alternative Medicine department for California State University Fullerton’s Health center.

Heather specializes in women’s health, sports medicine and internal medicine. Her patients are treated for a variety of conditions with the several modalities in traditional Chinese medicine and Acupuncture. Heather plans to combine Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, massage therapy, nutrition, lifestyle counseling and personal fitness training to develop a complete formula for whole body and mind healing.
